Jeni Riddell
Nickname: Frank // Celebrity Crush: Conan O’Brien
Growing up with 2 brothers, this feisty blonde can hold her own. If you’ve ever witnessed Jen grapple for the remote or the last bowl of Golden Grahams, you’d know her similarities with Mickey Rourke in the Wrestler aren’t based on looks alone.
An avid concert goer and karaoke singer, Jeni’s love for music started at a young age. Instead of fangirling over the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC, her yellow Sony Walkman was usually playing the likes of Green Day, Alanis Morissette and The Cranberries (ask her to sing Zombie, she sounds just like Dolores O’Riordan.)
Jen-ay and a glass of red go together like peas and carrots. A retired ‘cart girl’ at Chedoke Golf Course, she loves hitting the links with her parents, having a pint at Augusta House and walking her dog Finn along the Bruce Trail.
Her passion for party planning and creative writing, led to a career in communications where she worked for a Toronto based PR agency, and recently the TO2015 Pan Am/Parapan Am Games. Jeni currently works in social media for a tech company specializing in events and IT recruiting.
Lauren Coholan
Guilty Pleasure: Vanderpump Rules // Celebrity Crush: Jim Cuddy
Lover of seasons, nostalgic smells, family road trips, Hilary Duff sing-alongs, nature walks and champagne lunches, this Leo is always looking for a good time. She’s suspicious of Pee-Wee Herman’s whereabouts, whether Brooks from the Real Housewives of OC is lying about his cancer and if ghosts watch her while she sleeps.
Lauren’s joie de vivre is what attracts us. She has found happiness teaching dance classes, learning a new language, and moving to Toronto with her besties. Today, she spends her time travelling, eating at local restaurants, trying different kinds of yoga, entertaining family and friends and cooking, with wine in hand.
After completing an English lit degree at York University, Lauren has been working toward a career in marketing and communications. Former Social Media Manager working in brand development and having written for a Lifestyle Magazine in Toronto, she is currently a Freelance Writer living in the burbs with her adorable husband, Chris. Though they’re excited to grow their family, the only bottles living on their shelves right now are bottles of bubbly. Cheers to that!
Veronica Marrone
Fun Fact: She’s held a seat beside Jeni’s little bro Al for 5 years at the Riddell’s Sunday night supper // Not-So-Hidden-Talent: Obsessively cleaning everything in sight
Born and raised in the core of Steel City, Veronica makes Hamilton Mountain chicks seem soft as melted butter. She has the ability to simultaneously apply a shellac manicure, sip a double double, burp a baby all while looking like Brigitte Bardot.
Daughter of former CFL Tiger Cat, Tone Marrone, Veronica spent most of her high school days pretending to ward off Cathedral boys, while secretly sneaking on the back of their motorcycles.
On weekends, Veronica can be found brunching at Jack & Lois, mining for vintage treasures on Ottawa St. and sweating it out at De La Sol. A spiritual junkie who believes everyone has a story, she feeds her soul through exposing the raw hearts of Hamiltonians.
A professional home-stager with razor sharp style instincts, invite Veronica to your house party and you’ll forget who’s hosting. Within minutes she’ll have recycled the empties, re-arranged your furniture, served homemade pizza and laid out a trendy pantsuit for your Monday meeting.
